Ryu Su Jeong (류수정; or simply Sujeong) is a South Korean singer. She is the lead vocalist of the girl group Lovelyz and a former member the project girl group Girls Next Door.
She made her solo debut on May 20, 2020 with the mini album Tiger Eyes.
Career
2014: Debut with Lovelyz
She debuted as a member of Lovelyz on November 12, 2014 with the group's first album Girls' Invasion.
2020: Solo debut
She made her solo debut on May 20, 2020 with her first mini album Tiger Eyes.
2021: Departure from Woollim, change of agencies
On November 16, 2021, Lovelyz went on indefinite hiatus after the members' contracts expired. She decided to not renew her contract with Woollim.[1]
On November 23, it was revealed that Sujeong was in talks to sign an exclusive contract with Kakao subsidiary, FLEX M.[2] However, there is no follow-up news about whether she had signed with them, and she did not appear in the agency's SNS and website. In the end, she ultimately failed to sign with FLEX M.
As of December 2021, Sujeong is currently is a solo independent agent.
