Rookie (루키) is a South Korean singer. He is a member of the upcoming boy group AMBITION and a former member of the pre-debut group B.I.T and the boy group ATEEN.
Career[]
2018-2019: ATEEN[]
On August 9, 2018, he was revealed as a member of the upcoming boy group ATEEN. They made their Japanese debut on September 1, 2018 with their first digital single "僕はちょっと違う".
On January 18, 2019, it was revealed that 6 out of 10 trainees from a company had sued their female CEO for sexual assault in a sushi restaurant in Tokyo meeting dinner on September 28, 2018.[1][2] The group was later confirmed, on February 6, to be ATEEN.[3] The agency's female CEO continued to physically and verbally abuse the group and the all 10 members recounted how cruelly they were treated. In the end, they had to undergo psychiatric treatment, some suffered from insomnia, and severely overworked, with their electronic equipment were confiscated. The company denied them, but their contract was terminated and they broke up.
2019-2020: B.I.T[]
On April 5, 2019, he, alongside fellow members King, Segun and Joel were revealed as members of the pre-debut group B.I.T.[4] Unfortunately, they have been inactive on their SNS since September 2019 and deleted their Instagram account until they announced a fan meeting in August 2020.[5]
2022–present: AMBITION[]
On March 14 2022, Rookie was revealed for the new upcoming five-member boy group called AMBITION with a poster about their concerts in Japan.[6]
