Rock-Star (樂-Star; stylized in all-caps) is the eighth mini album by Stray Kids. It was released on November 10, 2023 with "Lalalala" serving as the album's title track.

The physical album comes in 13 versions: Headliner, Rock, Roll, Star (Limited), 8 individual Postcard versions, and Platform Album_Nemo.

Background[]

On September 19, 2023, it was reported that Stray Kids will be having a comeback in November. A source from JYP Entertainment confirmed that the group is preparing for a comeback although no date has been decided as of yet.[1] On October 5, the group released a prologue trailer for their eighth mini album Rock-Star, set for release on November 10.[2]

Commercial performance[]

On November 17, "Lalalala" debuted at #44 on the United Kingdom's Official Singles Chart.[3]

Rock-Star debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.[4] It spent two consecutive weeks in the top 10,[5] and 13 consecutive weeks on the chart in total.[6] It also debuted at #90 on the Hot 100 chart.[7]

On January 10, 2024, the American music data tracking firm Luminate announced Rock-Star as the 10th best-selling album of 2023 in the United States.[8]

On February 20, the Recording Industry Association of America awarded Rock-Star a gold certification.[9]

Rock-Star sold 109,000 CD copies in the United States, making it the sixth best-selling CD album in the country for the first half of 2024.[10]

On November 27, the Recording Industry Association of Japan awarded "Lalalala" a gold certification for surpassing 50 million streams in Japan.[11]
