Road to Kingdom : Ace of Ace (로드 투 킹덤 : Ace of Ace) is a 2024 reality survival show that was broadcasted on Mnet from September 19 to November 7, 2024.
Background[]
On April 24, SPOTV News reported that Mnet is developing the second season of their boy group competition show "Road to Kingdom" which will be coming back in the second half of the year. However, since it is still in the planning and preparation stages, specific details such as the program title and broadcast date will be revealed later.[1] It was also reported that 8TURN, TNX and xikers will be participating.[2] On May 1, it was reported that YOUNITE, ATBO and TEMPEST would be participating while CRAVITY is in discussion.[3]
On June 26, Mnet announced that Road to Kingdom will undergo reorganization and rebranding in order to become an independent brand dedicated to re-highlighting boy groups. The show will have different benefits given to the winning team compared to the original show and will be helmed by Queendom director Joo Woo Ri.[4]
On June 28, Mnet confirmed that ONEUS is positively considering participating in the show.[5]
On July 3, Mnet confirmed that Taemin is positively in talks to host the show.[6] It was eventually confirmed on July 17.[7]
On July 10, the lineup for Road to Kingdom 2 was announced.[8]
On July 17, it was revealed that the show will premiere in September.[7] On August 1, Mnet unveiled a teaser for Road to Kingdom : Ace of Ace.[9] On August 27, it was announced that the show will be premiering on September 19.[10]
On November 7, the show ended and revealed the final winner as CRAVITY.
