RYL (로얄; short for ROYAL) is an independent South Korean singer-songwriter and producer. He is a former member of the boy group A-JAX under the name Sungmin (성민).

On April 4, 2019, he made his solo debut with the digital single "Star" under the stage name ROYAL.

Career

2012–2016: A-JAX

On June 1, 2012, he made his debut with the group A-JAX with the release of their debut digital single "One 4 U".

On January 7, 2016, Sungmin left A-JAX but still would be staying with the label. However, sometime between 2016 and 2019, he left DSP Media.
