RE:GUYS is a seven-member boy group. Originally as nine, they debuted on August 25, 2017 with their first digital single "Last Men".
On April 1, 2025, DNA Entertainment announced that all three members had left the company following the expiration of their contracts.[1] However on December 9, 2025, they rebranded as RE:GUYS with seven members. [2]
History[]
2017–2020: Debut and Dong Hwi's enlistment[]
Sometime in 2017 or earlier, DNA Entertainemnt formed the nine-member boy group GreatGuys with members Jae I, Ho Ryeong, Han Eul, Da Un, Dong Hwi, Dong In, Hwal Chan, Ui Yeon and maknae Bae Gyeol. They officially made their their on August 25, 2017, with the release of their debut digital single, "Last Men".
On October 4, 2020, it was announced the member Dong Hwi would be enlisting in the military as part of his compulsory conscription.[3]
2021–2024: Kookmin Singer and members departure[]
As a group, in October 2021, GreatGuys appeared as contestants on the competitive show, Kookmin Singer, which began airing in October 2021. All members appeared on the show with the exception of Dong Hwi who is still enlisted in the military. Together, they were eventually eliminated but finished within the 'Top 111' ranks (ranks after 40 for individuals were not assigned).[citation needed]
On August 23, 2022, it was announced that group member Jae I would leave the group due to health reasons.[4]
On January 2, 2024, DNA Entertainment announced that members Han Eul, Da Un, Ui Yeon, Dong In and Hwal Chan would be leaving the group on February 1 after deciding not to renew their contracts. The remaining three members will renew their contracts and continue as GreatGuys starting from February onward.[5]
2025: Disbandment, rebrand as RE:GUYS[]
On April 1, 2025, DNA Entertainment announced that all three members would leave the company following the expiration of their contracts, leading to the group's disbandment.[1]
On December 9, 2025, the group opened a new Instagram account with the name, RE:GUYS, announcing their rebranding. It was also revealed that the group would continue as a seven-member group, including Minki, Yeongki, D.I, Donghyun, Jinhyeon, Semin and Daeyoung. [6]
