Queendom Puzzle (퀸덤 퍼즐) is a reality survival show that was broadcast on Mnet. It aired from June 13 to August 15, 2023, with the aim of creating seven-member project girl group EL7Z UP.[1][2]
It is a spin-off of the Mnet reality shows Queendom and Queendom 2.
Background[]
On April 10, 2023, Mnet confirmed that they would be airing a spinoff version of Queendom where already-debuted idols would compete to form a project group. The teaser trailer released the same day contained a cypher which indicated that there would be 28 competitors and that the final group would have seven members.[3]
On April 24, Mnet revealed that Taeyeon would be returning to her MC role for the spin-off series.[4]
On May 18, Mnet confirmed that Lee Chae Yeon and Haein have dropped out from the show for personal reasons.[5] On May 19, they announced the first lineup of contestants through individual teaser posters.[6] On May 26, the second lineup of contestants were revealed.[7]

Up Down Battle (Episode 1 & 2)[]
Each individual contestant is pre-assigned a rank from 1 to 4 based on their previous career performance in the K-pop industry, which is determined by their number of wins on music shows and the number of album sales at release (individual or group).
Each contestant is given the potential to self-evaluate one another based on a performance by voting the said performer up or down out of a total of 27 votes; the dominant voting score will determine whether the performer increases in rank or moves down.

7 vs 7 Team Battle (Episode 2 & 3)[]
Each team is evaluated by 'Expert Judges of Queendom Puzzle'; a panel of judges made up of experts within the K-pop industry. Their goal is to select one team performance between each signal song ("Charismatic" or "Snap") based on who makes the best team. Members of the winning team will be awarded 10,000 points each as a benefit.
Additionally, the judges can select one contestant from the winning team who performed the best, called the 'MVP'. The MVP will gain the right to 'puzzle' the next battle as a special benefit.
