"Perfect Night" is the second English digital single (labeled as first) by LE SSERAFIM. It was released on October 27, 2023.
Background[]
On October 4, 2023, iMBC reported that LE SSERAFIM will be making a comeback in late October.[1] On October 12, it was announced that the group will release their second English digital single "Perfect Night" on October 27.[2]
Promotions[]
On October 18, Blizzard Entertainment announced that they would be launching a LE SSERAFIM-inspired game mode and exclusive in-game items for Overwatch 2 on November 1. Additionally, LE SSERAFIM will be performing "Perfect Night" at the 2023 BlizzCon on November 4.[3]
On October 27, it was announced that LE SSERAFIM will be making their U.S. television debut with a guest appearance and a performance of "Perfect Night" on Today with Hoda & Jenna on October 30.[4]
Commercial performance[]
"Perfect Night" reached #1 on the iTunes Top Songs charts in 28 different regions.[5]
"Perfect Night" eventually reached #1 on Melon's Top 100 chart on November 19, making it the first English-language song by a Korean girl group ever to top the chart.[6] By December 18, "Perfect Night" spent four consecutive weeks on the top of Melon's Weekly Chart, making LE SSERAFIM the only female K-pop group to reach the milestone with an English language song.[7]
"Perfect Night" was ranked #36 on the 2024 Billboard Japan's Hot 100 year end chart.[8]
