Peniel (프니엘), also known by his full name Peniel Shin (프니엘 신), is a South Korean-American singer and rapper under BTOB COMPANY. He is a member of the boy group BTOB and its subunit BTOB 4U.
He made his debut as a member of BTOB on March 21, 2012 with the release of the single "Insane".

On August 12, 2022, it was reported that Peniel would be taking a temporary hiatus from activities after he had injured his ankle two days ago and would be undergoing surgery until his ankle is recovered.[4]
On May 2, 2023, it was announced that Peniel will not be participating in the group's comeback promotions due to lingering back pain.[5]
