PLAVE (플레이브) is a virtual five-member boy group under VLAST. They made their debut on March 12, 2023 with their single album "Asterum".

Their name is a combination of the words "Play" and "Rêve" and means that they are creating a new world to achieve their dreams.

Concept

The group was created by VLAST, an online and offline intellectual property (IP) content production company. The group comprises five members who were created with CG visuals in the style of manhwa characters often seen in webtoons. All five members are "all-rounders" skilled in singing, dancing, and rapping, as well as songwriters who can also compose their own songs.

History

Pre-debut

Before their official debut, the members were introduced and started communicating with fans through their official YouTube channel, where they actively released cover videos to showcase their individual talents and did live-stream broadcasts, as well as vlogs.

2023: Debut with "Asterum", "Why?", fandom name, Asterum : The Shape of Things to Come

On March 2, 2023, VLAST announced that PLAVE will debut with their first single album, "Asterum," on March 12. Each track was written and composed by the members themselves, and produced by HYBE's producer EL CAPITXN, who has previously worked with BTS, IU, and PSY.

On May 24, the group announced they will be releasing the digital single "Why?" the next day.

On June 19, their fandom name was revealed to be PLLI.

On August 1, the group announced they will release their first mini album, Asterum : The Shape of Things to Come, on August 24.

On December 6, the group announced their second digital single, "Merry Pllistmas", set to be released on December 12.

2024: Asterum : 134-1, "Pump Up The Volume!"

On January 31, the group announced they will release their second mini album, Asterum : 134-1, on February 26.

On August 12, the group announced their third digital single, "Pump Up The Volume!", set to be released on August 20.
