P.O.A (피오에이) was a five-member project girl group under HANDMADE and Korea Music Group. They were formed through the Anatainer World Korea - 2022 Pageant as part of their 'People On Air' media campaign. They debuted on September 21, 2022 with the digital single "Project On Air".
They silently disbanded sometime in early 2023.
History[]
Pre-debut[]
In August 27, 2022, Anatainer World Korea held a competitive selection show dedicated to the discovery of broadcasters, entertainers, influencers and show hosts. The contestants were 31 competing women; among the finalists who supported singer activities, a 'special contribution' six-member girl group would be formed as a part of their 'People On Air' media campaign on a one-year exclusive contract.[1][2][3] At the end, there were six finalists selected to become members, which included Yubeen, Dana, Kim Soya, Hai and Ria. The sixth member left before the formation of the official group.
2022: "Project On Air", disbandment[]
On August 27, 2022, member Kim Soya uploaded a debut teaser video onto her Instagram, revealing P.O.A's upcoming debut with the digital single "Project On Air".[4] The digital single was eventually released on September 21, 2022.[5][6][7]
On December 27, Yubeen revealed through an Instagram DM that P.O.A had disbanded.[8]
