Oh!Bliss (오블리스) was a five-member girl group formed by JT Corea Entertainment in 2016. The group made their debut on October 17, 2016 with the single album "BunnyBunny".
They presumably disbanded in 2018 due to inactivity.
The group's name is a combination of the exclamation "Oh!" and the word "Bliss", which means ultimate happiness and expressed their ambition to spread happiness through their music.[1]
History[]
2016: Debut with "BunnyBunny"[]
On October 17, 2016, Oh!Bliss made their debut with the single album "BunnyBunny". The lineup consisted of Mei, YeonJoo, ChungLyn, Roa and InHwa.[1]
2017-2018: ChungLyn's hiatus, cancelled comeback & disbandment[]
On January 26, 2017, Oh!Bliss opened a crowdfunding project on MAKESTAR for their comeback.[2]
On March 20, 2017, JT Corea Entertainment announced that ChungLyn would be going on a hiatus due to health issues, citing worsening back pains from her trainee days.[3] Due to this, the group started promoting as a four-member group.[4]
Since October 2017, the group became inactive.[5]
On January 18, 2018, it was announced that Oh!Bliss's MAKESTAR project had been cancelled despite successfully passing its funding goal.[6] Therefore, it was assumed that the group had disbanded.
Aftermath[]
- Roa became active as a dancer and cheerleader, under the name Hyeonchu.[7]
- Yeonjoo became active as a streamer of AfreecaTV in 2021.[8]
- Mei became active as an actress, under the name Hwang Seo-yi.[9]
- InHwa became active as a health/beauty influencer on Instagram.[10]
- ChungLyn has since left the entertainment industry.
