On March 25, they came back with their first single album "In Its Time".

Road to Kingdom then officially began and was aired on April 30 with an online vote beforehand, from March 30 to April 5.[6] During the 90 seconds performances, they danced to "Phantom of ONEUS", which was a remixed version of "Valkyrie" to introduce themself and ranked sixth.[7] During the first round, which was to perform a "king's melody", they had covered "Warrior's Descendant" by H.O.T. and ranked seventh during the first round.[8][9] During the second round, which was to perform your own song, they performed "Lit".[10] They had ranked fourth during the second round, which was determined 30% by the contestants and 70% through votes of an online audience.[11] The next round was a collaborative mission where the groups were randomly chosen to become a pair and prepare a performance together. In the end, PENTAGON was partnered with THE BOYZ and they both agreed to perform "Heroine" by Sunmi where they ranked last out of 3 teams.[12] Overall, it was revealed that their cumulative score was sixth out of 6 teams, meaning they were at risk of eliminations. For the next round, their partners from the previous round had to choose a song for them to cover.[13] The song "Be Mine" by INFINITE was chosen for them. They then ranked sixth, barely escaping the first round of eliminations.[14] For the eighth and final episode, the group performed their new song "Come Back Home". The ultimate winner was decided by a number of things such as the digital score for each new song released by the different groups. Their final rank was fifth out of the six teams remaining.[15]
