On August 25, 2020, it was announced that the band would be holding their first Ontact live concert on September 12, 2020, live-streamed via VLIVE+.[1] From September 3 to September 9, a series of O! New E!volution teasers were released, concluding with a music video teaser announcing that a new song "Parting" would be revealed for the first time on O! NEW E!volution.[2]

During the concert, ONEWE revealed "Parting" through an exclusive live performance, introducing the song as a sequel to ONEWE's title track "Regulus" from their second digital single album "2/4". "Parting" was then officially released on September 24, 2020, as a digital pre-release and title track for ONEWE's first demo album Studio We : Recording released on October 15, 2020.[3]

Trivia[]

  • On Yong Hoon's birthday, August 17, 2021, a special cover (TO. WEVE) by Yong Hoon of "Me After You" by Paul Kim was released, which included in a montage a clip from ONEWE's performance of "Reminisce About All" from O! NEW E!volution in which Yong Hoon broke into tears mid-performance.[4] Following the concert, Yong Hoon explained that he had gotten emotional singing this self-written debut song, which holds a lot of meaning to him, because it was their first online concert and it felt wrong not being able to sing it to directly to WEVEs (fandom) in-person.
