Nova (노바) is a Russian rapper, dancer and lyricist under BeBy Entertainment. She is a member of the girl group X:IN and a former member of the girl group MEP-C formed through the training platform Universe.

Career[]

2022-2023: MEP-C[]

Sometime in early 2022, then known only as Maria (마리아) joined GBK Entertainment and became a trainee on their online training platform Universe, which aims to select girls to became potential members of a future girl group. On November 29, 2022, now known as Nova, was revealed as one of the five selected members of GBK's upcoming girl group MEP-C.[1] However, in early 2023, she presumably left the group after the deletion of her profile post.

2023-present: X:IN[]

On March 7, 2023, she, along with Aria, were seen in the line-up reveal video of the 44th K-Stage Yes or No concert of which the upcoming girl group X:IN would be performing at on March 12, therefore confirming her as a member of the group.[2] Later the same day, she was officially revealed as the fourth member of the group.[3]

They debuted on April 11, 2023 with their first digital single "Keeping the Fire".

  • She was a part of Russian dance cover crew DALCOM.
  • Her nickname is Chijeunyang (치즈냥) because of her blonde hair.
  • Prior to debuting as a member of X:IN, Nova previously worked as a voice actor for Russian-language dubs. She has most notably done voicework for the Russian dubs of The Amazing World of Gumball (as Anais) and Suicide Squad (as Zoe Lawton).[6]
