NouerA (Korean: 누에라; Japanese: ヌエラ) is a seven-member boy group under Nouer Entertainment. Formed through KBS's reality survival show MAKE MATE 1, they made their debut on February 26, 2025 with the mini album Chapter: New is Now.
Their group name is a combination of "nouer", the French for "to tie together", and "era", meaning that NouerA will be connecting eras through their music.[2]
History[]
Pre-debut: MAKE MATE 1, "Mu"[]
On February 21, 2024, it was announced that MAKE MATE 1 would air sometime in May.[3] It eventually premiered on May 15, 2024.
The show concluded on July 17, with Fan ranking first, Lin ranking second, Miraku ranking third, Hyunjun ranking fourth, Gihyeon ranking fifth, Junpyo ranking sixth and Yuseop ranking seventh. The group will be debuting sometime in January 2025.[4] The group name was eventually announced on August 5.[2]
On December 9, NouerA unveiled the promotional time table for the pre-debut digital single "Mu", scheduled for December 14.[5]
On December 31, they announced that the group's debut would be moved to February of next year instead of their initial plan of January 2025.[6]
2025: Debut with Chapter: New is Now, fandom name, N: Number of Cases[]
On February 3, 2025, NouerA announced their debut mini album Chapter: New is Now set to be released on February 26, 2025.[7]
On February 26, the day of their debut, NouerA announced through their Twitter account that their fandom name would be NovA, which stands for "New Orbit Via Aurora."[1]
On June 8, 2025, NouerA announced their second mini album N: Number of Cases set to be released on June 30, 2025.[8]
