Ningning (Korean: 닝닝; Chinese: 宁宁; Japanese: ニンニン) is a Chinese singer under SM Entertainment. She is the maknae of the girl group aespa.
Career[]
2016–2017: SMROOKIES[]
On September 19, 2016, Ningning was revealed as a new member of the trainee team SMROOKIES, alongside Yiyang.[3]
In September 2016, she was part of the "Who's the best?" segment of My SMT along with fellow rookies Koeun, Hina, and Yiyang. Later in 2017-2018, she along with actress Park Jung Yeon, Koeun and Hina sang several OST for the MBC animated series Shining Star.
2020: Debut with aespa[]
On October 29, 2020, Ningning was revealed as the third member of aespa.[4] The group debuted on November 17 with the digital single "Black Mamba".
2022: "Once Again"[]
Ningning released the track "Once Again" with fellow aespa member Winter as part of the soundtrack for the South Korean drama Our Blues.
2023: "WYA"[]
Ningning collaborated with Jay Park to release the track "WYA" as a surprise collaboration for The Next 2023, a show where Jay Park appeared as a regular mentor. It was released on July 30, and a remix version featuring pH-1, Lexie Liu, ØZI, and Masiwei was released on August 13.
2024: "Count On Me", "Bored!"[]
As part of the soundtrack of the South Korean drama The Midnight Studio, Ningning released "Count On Me" on March 12.
On October 7, 2024, it was reported that Ningning will be releasing her solo song "Bored!" along with other solos from aespa's second world tour, on October 9.[5]
