Nine (나인) is a South Korean singer under SXTYDGRS. She is a member of the girl group Kandis.
She is also known for being a former contestant on the competitive survival show, K-pop Star 6: The Last Chance.
Career[]
2016: K-pop Star 6: The Last Chance[]
Sometime in 2016, Nine, then known by her real name, Lee Doyoon, became a trainee under Mystic Entertainment. In November 2016, she appearead as a contestant on the competitive survival show, K-pop Star 6: The Last Chance. She was eventually eliminated from the competition.[1]
2017: MIXNINE[]
Later, in 2017, she appeared in JTBC's reality survival show, MIXNINE, as a trainee representing Mystic Entertainment auditioning to be a contestant. Unfortunately, she did not pass the auditions and hence did not become an official contestant on the show.[2]
2022–present: Kandis[]
On January 8, 2022, upcoming girl group Kandis revealed Nine as the second member of their girl group through a reveal photo.[3] On January 9, a video of Nine covering Christina Aguilera's "Por Siempre Tú", the Spanish version of her single, "I Turn To You".[4]
They made their debut on August 27, 2023 with the first single album "BF".
