Nicole (니콜) is a South Korean-American singer, rapper and YouTuber under JWK Entertainment and Dreamusic. She is a member of the girl group KARA.

She made her solo debut on November 19, 2014 with the mini album First Romance.

Career[]

2007–2014: KARA[]

On March 29, 2007, Nicole debuted as a member of KARA with the group's first studio album The First Bloooooming.

DSP Media announced on October 4, 2013 that she would leave the agency and KARA after deciding not to renew her contract, which was set to expire in January of 2014.[2] Nicole's final performance as a member of the group took place on December 31, 2013 at the 2013 MBC Gayo Daejejeon.

2014: Solo debut with First Romance[]

Following the expiration of her contract with DSP Media, Nicole returned to the United States to improve her dancing and performing skills.[3]

On October 13, 2014, B2M Entertainment announced that Nicole had signed on with the agency and was preparing to debut as a solo artist.[4]

On November 19, 2014, she made her solo debut with her first mini album First Romance.

2015–2016: Japanese debut with "Something Special", "Don't Stop", Bliss[]

On June 24, 2015, Nicole made her Japanese debut with the single "Something Special" under Victor Entertainment.

On February 17, 2016, she released her second Japanese single "Don't Stop".

In March 2016, she revealed via Instagram that she would be releasing her first Japanese studio album "Bliss" on April 27, 2016.[5]

2019: "Promise", "Champions"[]

2021-2022: Label changes, "You.F.O", return to KARA[]

On August 30, 2021, it was announced that Nicole has signed an exclusive contract with FR C&C.[6] However, she left the agency shortly after.

On July 11, 2022, it was announced that she has signed an exclusive contract with JWK Entertainment.[7] On July 14, the agency announced that she would be coming back with a digital single on the 27th.[8] On July 18, a concept video for "You.F.O" was released.[9]

On September 18, 2022, it was announced that Nicole would be rejoining KARA for the group's 15th anniversary promotions.[10]

2023: "Mysterious", new Japanese label, "Selfish"[]

On February 24, 2023, a comeback scheduler was released, announcing that Nicole would be releasing her second digital single "Mysterious" on March 9.[11]

On March 5, 2023, it was announced that she would be releasing a new Japanese single "Selfish" after transferring to her new Japanese agency, Dreamusic.[12]

2024: "5!6!7!8!"[]

On May 30, 2024, a concept photo was released, announcing that Nicole would be releasing her third digital single "5!6!7!8!" on June 6.[13]
