Nam Jihyun (남지현), also simply known as Jihyun (지현) and formerly known as Son Jihyun (손지현), is a South Korean singer and actress under Urban Works Entertainment. She is a former member of the girl group 4minute.
Career[]
2009-2016: 4minute, new agency[]
She debuted as a member of 4minute with the release of their first digital single "Hot Issue" on June 15, 2009.
On June 13, 2016, Cube Entertainment announced that 4minute would be disbanding after all of the members (except HyunA) had decided not to renew their contracts.[2][3]
On September 30, 2016, it was announced that Jihyun had signed a contract with Artist Company to focus on her promotions as an actress.[4]
2020-2022: Change of agencies[]
On March 9, 2020, Wells Entertainment announced that Jihyun had signed on with the agency.[5]
On December 27, 2021, FN Entertainment announced that Jihyun had signed on with the agency and would return to promoting under her birth name.[6]
On August 8, 2022, Urban Works Entertainment announced that Jihyun had signed with them.[7]
