Na Entertainment (엔에이엔터테인먼트) is a South Korean record label and entertainment agency. It was originally founded by Lee Sul as LPA Entertainment in 1982. In 2022, the agency was renamed as Namoo Entertainment (나무엔터테인먼트) and again to their current name in 2023.
History[]
2022: LPA Entertainment and Angel Rus, rebrand to Namoo Entertainment[]
In 2022, LPA Entertainment announced their upcoming girl group Angel Rus.
On August 4, LPA Entertainment's CEO announced that Angel Rus would be going on a hiatus for the time being.[1] All their SNS accounts were also deleted on the same day.[2]
On August 21, it was reported that LPA Entertainment's CEO was investigated by the police. His computer and cell phone were raided by the police for having compromising photos of female trainees which were taken and sent to the CEO upon his request. Text logs between the CEO and a Taiwanese trainee were exposed by the news article, wherein the CEO coerced the trainee into sending him full-body photos of herself in just underwear on every Tuesday. The company's representative had responded by claiming that it was done with the trainee's consent to shorten the preparation time for the group's debut.[3] This has left the current status of Angel Rus unknown.
In October 2022, it was revealed that LPA Entertainment has rebranded as Namoo Entertainment with two members of Angel Rus, Ayo and Kira, still being under the agency. It was then assumed that Angel Rus had disbanded due to the exclusion of their group name from the company's new SNS account.
2023: Rebrand to NA Entertainment[]
In 2023, the agency rebranded for the second time. Namoo Entertainment changed their name to NA Entertainment.[4]
2024: DE:VA[]
In November 2024, Na Entertainment opened the SNS for their upcoming girl group, DE:VA. Around the same time, it was discovered that Kia had joined the agency and became a member.[5]
On November 17, the group made their first-ever public appearance at the 2024 WPOP EDM Festival, where they also unveiled additional members.[6]
However, on December 22, the group revealed through an Instagram story that they were looking for a new company to join as they have left NA Entertainment. It was also reported that Alice and Nina left the group as they decided to remain with the agency.[7]
2025: Addressing the LPA Entertainment and Angel Rus Controversy, NWH:I[]
On January 6, 2025, NA Entertainment addressed their past controversy with Angel Rus via a Q&A done on the SNS of their upcoming global girl group NWH:I after concerns for their new artists and trainees arose. The agency acknowledged the wrongful system and abuse upheld by them 3 years ago by saying they are reflecting and repenting on this incident. The past system has been abolished and they are now prioritizing the protection of their artists.[8]
At the same Q&A, they also stated that while communication with fans is important, they are valuing their artists by avoiding the stress racist and malicious comments bring which is why as of now, their comment sections are closed on SNS platforms.
