NXD (엔엑스디, short for NeXt iDentity)[1] is an upcoming three-member boy group under RBW. Their debut date is currently unknown.
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On September 16, 2020, RBW Japan opened up SNS accounts for the group, then known as RBW JBOYZ.[2] On September 19, 2020, they revealed all five trainee of the group.[3]
On October 28, 2022, they revealed two new members, Hwang Jae Min and Park Hyeong Geun, through a trainee vlog.[4]
On February 20, 2023, Hwang Jae Min and Park Hyeong Geun were revealed as contestants of the MBC's reality show Fantasy Boys.[5]
On July 19, 2023, RBW revealed, through public information, that RBW Boys would made their debut in October 2023 with five or six members. Additionally, they confirmed two new members, Kang Dae Hyun and Lee Yong Joon. Furthermore, the group will make a guest appearance at RBW's first family concert RBW 2023 Summer Fes ~Over The Rainbow~ in Japan on August 19 and 20, 2023.[6] The following day, RBW Japan revealed that RBW Boys will be performing under the team name RBW Trainee New ID.[7]
On November 3, RBW announced that the group will go by NXD and that they will be launching the SNS accounts on November 9. Additionally, the group will be releasing pre-release content throughout the month.[8] On November 9, NXD posted a coming soon teaser and RBW announced that they will introduce the group's members starting November 13.[9][10]
2024: "Jump", Hiroto and Yongjoon's departure[]
On April 5, 2024, NXD announced the release of their pre-debut special kit "Jump" on April 18.[11] The song will later be included on the group's first album.[12]
On October 31, RBW announced that Hiroto and Yongjoon have left the group and a new lineup will be set.[13]
