NEWY (뉴와이) is an upcoming four-member girl group under H1GHR Music and AOMG. They are set to debut in 2025.
Similar to I.B.I, RAINZ, JBJ and EVNNE, the group consists of former I-LAND 2 contestants who failed to make to the top 7.
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On August 28, 2024, it was reported that H1GHR Music is planning to debut their first ever girl group.[1]
On February 25, 2025, it was reported that the group consists of Son Juwon, Kim Chaeeun, Yui and Um Jiwon.[2]
On April 14, it was reported that H1GHR Music and AOMG will be launching a new co-produced girl group consisting of former I-LAND 2 contestants. It was mentioned in the article that AOMG will introduce a new girl group named NEWY.[3]
