"Morning Dew" (아침이슬, Achimiseul, Ach'imisŭl, 아침 이슬, Achim Iseul, Ach'im Isŭl) is a song by Kim Min Ki, released as a track of his studio album Kim Min Ki on 1971.

This song was written by Kim Min Ki in 1970, but the sheet music was torn up and thrown in the bin. After Yang Hee Eun put together the torn sheet music, she told him that she wanted to sing that song, and he allowed it. [3] After Yang Hee Eun's song, released in 1971, [4] became a hit, he also sang it about a month later. [1]

Kim Min Ki brought the German musical Linie 1 to South Korea and adapted it, which became a huge hit. After learning about this, members of the Grips-Theater, a German original performance team, translated this song into German, visited South Korea in 2004, and gave it to him as a gift. The title is Morgentau. [5]

Lyrics[]

Gin bam jisaeugo pullimmada maechin

Han naje jjineun deowineun nae siryeon iljira
Na ije ganora jeo geochin gwangyae

Seoreoum modu beorigo na ije ganora

Like the morning dew after a long weary night
Gracing each leaf with a shine finer than pearl's
When sorrows in my heart bead up one by one
I climb on the morning hill to learn a little smile

A blazing red sun rising up over the graveyard
The sweltering heat of the day is only my trials
Here I go now, into the wilderness of badlands
Leaving all the sadness behind, here I go now

When sorrows in my heart bead up one by one
I climb on the morning hill to learn a little smile

A blazing red sun rising up over the graveyard
The sweltering heat of the day is only my trials
Here I go now, into the wilderness of badlands

Leaving all the sadness behind, here I go now
