Moonbin & Sanha (문빈&산하) was the first sub-unit of the boy group ASTRO. They made their debut on September 14, 2020 with the mini album In-Out.
The unit is assumed to have disbanded following Moonbin's death on April 19, 2023.
History[]
2020: Debut with In-Out[]
On August 14, 2020, Fantagio announced that ASTRO would be debuting their first sub-unit with the members Moonbin and Sanha, with the release of their debut mini album set for mid-September.[1] The first teaser video was then posted on August 21 revealing that they would make their debut on September 14.[2] The sub-unit then debuted on September 14, 2020 with the release of their first mini album In-Out.
On episode 239 of The Show, which was aired on September 22, Moonbin & Sanha received their first music show win with the song "Bad Idea".[3]
2022: Refuge[]
On February 4, 2022, Fantagio announced that Moonbin & Sanha would be releasing the pre-release single "Ghost Town" on February 11, ahead of their the release of their second mini album Refuge on March 15.[4]
2023: Incense, Moonbin's passing and disbandment[]
On December 1, 2022, it was announced that the duo will come back with their third mini album, Incense on January 4.[5]
On April 19, 2023, Moon Bin was found dead in his residence in the Gangnam district of Seoul by his manager.[6] Thus, resulting in the sub-unit likely to have disbanded.
On April 27, Fantagio announced that they will be closing the unit's Weverse Community on April 30, two weeks after it was created.[7]
