Minsung (민성), formerly known as Kim Jun-hoe (김준회) and Kid (키드), is a South Korean singer-songwriter under ADVANTAGE. He is a member of the project boy group URSA MAJOR, as well as a former member of the boy groups VARSITY, Rion Five and the pre-debut groups Ten-X and New World.
He made his solo debut on January 31, 2022 with the digital single "Tonight".
He is also known for being a contestant on MIXNINE.
Career[]
2017-2020: VARSITY, MIXNINE, Rion Five, Ten-X[]
On January 9, 2017, he officially made his debut under the name Kid (키드) as the leader of the group VARSITY with the single "Round One". The same year, VARSITY auditioned to be on MIXNINE. Minsung made it through the auditions but was eliminated in episode 10 after ranking 48th place.
On September 7, 2018, VARSITY announced they would be splitting the group in two. The Chinese members were going to promote in China under a new name, while the Korean members would continue using the name VARSITY.[1]
In September 2019, he appeared as a new member of Rion Five.[2]
On April 23, 2020, VARSITY officially disbanded with their digital single called We'll Meet Again.
On August 1, 2020, he was revealed as a member of the pre-debut group Ten-X. However, he later left the group due to personal reasons on December 2.
2022: Solo debut with "Tonight"[]
On January 31, 2022, Minsung made his solo debut with the release of the digital single "Tonight".
