Personal life[]

Military service, neglect of duty and sentencing[]

On March 2, 2023, YG Entertainment announced that Mino will be enlisting in the military as an public service worker on March 24.[2] He was discharged on December 23, 2024.[citation needed]

However, prosecutors accused Mino of repeatedly neglecting his duties while serving, mainly due to repeated unauthorized absences. In December 2024, the police launched an investigation at the request of the Military Manpower Administration. It has been reported that Mino largely acknowledged the allegations of unauthorized absences and the case was referred to prosecutors in May 2025. On December 30, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office announced Mino was indicted without detention for violations of the Military Service Act. His supervisory official was also indicted on charges of aiding and abetting the defendant's misconduct due to unproper management or intervention despite being aware of his repeated absences.[3]

Relationship[]

On December 18, 2024, it was reported that Mino and actress Park Ju-hyun have been dating for two years following their work on the 2022 Netflix film Seoul Vibe. Both of their agencies stated that they can not confirm the reports as it is the artists' private lives.[4]
