Mingi (민기) is a South Korean rapper-songwriter under KQ Entertainment. He is a member of the boy group ATEEZ.
Career[]
2017: MIXNINE[]
In 2017, he became a contestant on JTBC's reality survival show MIXNINE. He was eliminated in episode 7 after ranking 113th place.[2]
2018: Debut with ATEEZ[]
On October 24, Mingi debuted as a member of KQ Entertainment's first boy group, ATEEZ, with the release of the mini album Treasure EP.1 : All To Zero.
2020–2021: Hiatus and return[]
Mingi announced on November 15, 2020 that he would be going on hiatus from the group due to psychological anxiety problems.[3]
On February 5, 2021, KQ Entertainment announced that although he is in hiatus, he still took part in the recording of their sixth mini album Zero : Fever Part.2.[4]
On May 27, it was also revealed that he took part in the recording of the ATEEZ song for Kingdom, "The Real".[5]
On July 18, 2021, it had been announced that Mingi fully regained his health after 8 months of recovery and he would be returning from hiatus.[6]
2024: Desire Project, Fix On/Off[]
On February 4, Mingi launched a project called "Desire Project" in which he shows songs of his own composition.
On August 9, Mingi released his first solo LP Fix On/Off.
