MiU (Korean: 미유; Japanese: みゆ), also known by her full name Ito Miyu, is a Japanese singer under 143 Entertainment. She is a member of the girl group MADEIN and its sub-unit MADEIN S and a former member of the girl group LIMELIGHT.
She is also known for participating in Mnet's survival show Girls Planet 999.
Career[]
2020: N.D.Promotion[]
Since 2020, MiU was previously a tarento under N.D.Promotion and worked in modelling and as an influencer across YouTube, however since early spring 2021, MiU had deactivated all her SNS accounts and she is no longer listed under N.D.Promotion's list of talents, indicating she had left the agency.
2021: Girls Planet 999[]
On July 7, 2021, MiU was confirmed as a contestant on Mnet's newest reality show, Girls Planet 999, along with the other participating trainees, through the prologue trailer.[2] Her official profile was released on July 19.[3][4] Unfortunately, she was eliminated during the first round of eliminations in the fifth episode of the show. [5]
2022–2024: LIMELIGHT[]
On December 24, 2021, 143 Entertainment announced that MiU had joined the company.[6]
On January 14, 2022, it was announced that MiU would be debuting with 143 Entertainment's new girl group by the end of the year, and was preparing for her debut starting that month.[7]
On August 12, she was introduced as the second member of LIMELIGHT.[8] They made their debut on February 17, 2023 with the EP Love & Happiness.
2024: Debut with MADEIN[]
On July 29, 2024, she was introduced as a member of MADEIN.[9] They made their debut on September 3, 2024 with the EP Rise.
