2022-present: Universe & DR Music global audition[]
Sometime in early 2022, Maria Kutova, under the name Maria K (마리아K) joined GBK Entertainment's Trainee Program Universe, which aims to select girls to became potential members of a future girl group.[1] On November 17, 2022, DR Music announced Maria Kutova as one of the four candidates that passed the 2022 Cygnus Project global auditions.[2]
