MINUE (민우), formerly known as ICON and Rose (로즈), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, musician and actor under MJ Dreamsys and Warner Music Korea. He is a member of the boy band The Midnight Romance and a former member of the boy bands TRAX and 24/7.
He made his solo debut on May 3, 2011 with the single "Rockstar".
Career[]
2004–2006: TRAX[]
He debuted as the drummer of the boy group TRAX under the stage name Rose. He left the group sometimes in 2006.
2009: 24/7[]
He debuted as a member of the rock band 24/7 on February 26, 2009. The band silently disbanded on the same year.
2013: Solo debut[]
He made his solo debut on July 1, 2013 with the single album "Rockstar" under the stage name ICON.
2015–2018: Lawsuit against SM Entertainment[]
On May 11, 2015, he sued his former agency SM Entertainment for compensation of damages due to unfair contract, broadcast ban and lack of management, claiming that the agency blocked his television appearances when he started solo activities. SM Entertainment denied all the claims.[4]
On July 21, 2016, it was revealed that he lost the trial due to insufficient evidence.[5] He appealed to the decision but lost again on June 20, 2018.[6]
2020: The Midnight Romance[]
He debuted as a member of the rock band The Midnight Romance on July 17, 2020.

He studied at Yongmun High School and at the Department of Theater and Film at Inha University.
Family[]
His mother, Oh Se-in is a former singer who is the founder and current CEO of MJ Dreamsys, an entertainment agency that manages the careers of MINUE himself and his younger brother, No Jeong-hun (who is the leader, vocalist and keyboardist of the popular band Hoppípolla under the stage name I'll).
Military service[]
He enlisted in October 2016[7] and was discharged in July 2018.
