MEOVV (미야오) is a five-member girl group under The Black Label. They made their debut on September 6, 2024 with the digital single "Meow".
Their name stands for "My Eyes Open VVide".
History[]
Pre-debut[]
In February 2024, photos of trainees from The Black Label, rumored to be members of the agency's upcoming girl group, spread online. The photos notably include choreographer Bailey Sok, child actress and model Ella Gross and Moon Seo-yoon, the granddaughter of Shinsegae chairman Lee Myung-hee.[1] Moon Seo-yoon was later reported to have dropped out of the group.[2] On February 6, The Black Label announced that they are planning to launch a new girl group in the first half of 2024.[3]
On August 16, The Black Label launched the SNS accounts for their upcoming girl group MEOVV.[4]
From August 21 to August 29, the five members of the group were revealed via social media, beginning with Ella, followed by Gawon, Sooin, Anna, and Narin respectively.[5][6][7][8][9]
2024: Debut with "Meow"[]
On September 2, The Black Label released a group trailer, revealing that MEOVV will be making their debut on September 6 with the digital single "Meow".[10][11]
