Luna (루나) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and musical actress under Grida Entertainment. She is a member of the girl group f(x).
She made her solo debut on May 31, 2016 with the mini album Free Somebody.
Career[]
2009-2016: Debut with f(x)[]
Luna debuted as a member of f(x) on September 5, 2009 with the group's first digital single "La Cha Ta".
2016-2019: Solo debut with Free Somebody, "Night Reminiscin'" and "Even So"[]
Luna made her solo debut on May 31, 2016 with her first mini album Free Somebody. She continued to release two more digital singles, "Night Reminiscin'" on April 24, 2018, and "Even So" on January 4, 2019, under SM Entertainment.
2019–present: Label changes, "Madonna", Broadway debut[]
On September 5, 2019, SM Entertainment announced that Luna would be leaving the agency after deciding not to renew her contract.[2]
On October 7, 2019, it was announced Luna had signed on with Humap Contents for her future activities as an artist.[3]
On February 24, 2021, Luna established her own agency, Grida Entertainment.[4]
On October 6, 2021, Luna released the digital single "Madonna" as her first musical release after departing from SM Entertainment.
On March 30, 2022, Luna was announced to be a part of the cast for the Broadway musical KPOP.[5] She plays the character of MwE, a fictional K-pop soloist.
