Lim Jeong Hee (Korean: 임정희; Japanese: イム・ジョンヒ) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actress under P&B Entertainment. She made her solo debut on June 10, 2005 with her first full-length album Music Is My Life.

Career[]

Pre-debut[]

When she was in high school, Lim participated in a song contest for teens held by the Seoul government and won the grand prize.[1] The experience of competing in the song contest and winning the top prize led Lim to enter college to study popular music.[2]

2005: Debut with Music Is My Life[]

Lim Jeong Hee signed with JYP Entertainment in 2005. However, Lim was most famous in the street music scene, being nicknamed the "Street Diva", holding numerous street performances on her own.[3] On May 9, 2005, she released her debut digital single "Music Is My Life", which was later included on her first full-length album Music Is My Life, released on June 10.[4]

2006: Thanks[]

Lim Jeong He made their first-ever comeback with her second full-length album Thanks on March 24, 2006.[5]

2006–2007: Before I Go J-Lim[]

In 2006, she moved to New York to prepare an album to enter the American market.[6] The following year, she returned to Korea to continue her activities.[7] On October 2, 2007, Lim Jeong Hee revealed that would be releasing her third full-album Before I Go J-Lim on October 4.[8]

On October 3, 2023, StarNews reported that Lim Jeong Hee and ballet dancer Kim Hee Hyun married in Seoul, after dating for a year.[9]
