Lexa (레카) was a four-member project co-ed group under Zeromax Entertainment. They debut in 2001 with their sole studio album, First Album. The group disbanded in May 2002.
The group was formed for the purpose of promoting the South Korea's first 3D animated show, Lexa, which they were named after. The name is derived from the ancient Hebrew word '(Lekh Leka) לֶךְ־לְךָ', meaning "walk your way".[1]
History[]
Lexa was formed sometime in 2001 as a co-ed music group with members Mino, Sua, G.NA and Woojoo. The group's primary function was to promote South Korea's first 3D animated show, Lexa, which aired on EBS from July 20, 2001 until May 31, 2002. During this time, this released their first and only studio album, First Album, with title track "Love Valentine", though the track "Walk Your Way" was used as the opening song and first ending of Lexa while "Take-Off" was used as its the second ending. The group disbanded following the end of the show and their company ceasing operations.[2]
Aftermath[]
Mino later became a broadcaster named Boom.[2]
Sua, now going by the name Geum B, became a member of the co-ed group Turtles in 2003. The group disbanded in 2008 following the sudden death of member Turtleman. They reformed in April 2011 with a new member but disbanded five months later. Geum B then pursued a solo career as a trot singer.[2][3][4]
G.NA later became a member of a three-member girl group that was active in China before moving on to work in nail art.[2]
Woojoo went on to become a solo singer, releasing his first single, "Miracle (The First Single)", in March 2005.[5][2]
