Lena (Korean: 레나; Japanese: レナ) is a South Korean singer-songwriter currently under The Wave Music. She is the maknae of the girl group GWSN.


Career

2018–present: Debut with GWSN

On June 19, Lena was revealed as the second member of GWSN.[1] She made her debut with the girl group on September 5, 2018 with the release of their first mini album. The Park In The Night Part One.

The release of GWSN's fifth mini album, The Other Side of the Moon, also marked Lena's debut as a songwriter, in which she co-wrote the tracks, "I Can't Breathe", "Starry Night" and "I Sing (lalala)".[2]

Personal life

Education

Before transferring to Hanlim Multi Arts School, Lena attended Kaywon High School of Arts, where she was part of the 'Theater of Film Studies for Gifted Students' program.[3]

She graduated from Hanlim Arts High School on February 9, 2021.[4]

Family

Lena is the daughter of singer Lee Eunjeo who debuted as a singer in 1996 with the release of her only studio album, Monotone. One of her two aunts, Lee Hyunjeo, is also a singer and is best known for being the singer of the Korean version of "Circle of Life" from Lion King.
