Lee Sang Soon (이상순; also spelled as Yi Sang Sun) is a South Korean guitarist, singer-songwriter, DJ, and composer under Antenna. He was a member of the modern rock band Baby Blue. In 1999, he became a member of the band Roller Coaster.
In 2020, he signed an exclusive contract with ESteem a few days after his wife, Lee Hyori, had joined the agency.[2]
On November 16, 2022, it was announced that he decided to not renew his contract with ESteem, alongside his wife.[3] A few days later, on November 21, he signed an exclusive contract with Antenna.[4]
Career[]
Pre-debut[]
In 1997, he was a session member of a rock band Biscuit and in 1998, he was a live session member of the band Bank.[5]
Wave[]
In 1998, he belonged to the fusion jazz band Wave.[6]
In 2000, he belonged to the Wave again, where he played electric guitar.[7]
Baby Blue[]
In September 1998, along with Hwang Sun Young and Lee Hye Min, he belonged to the modern rock band Baby Blue, where he played guitar.[8] Kim Young Suk (ko, known as Z-RAM, Kim Yeong-seok in N.EX.T), is their producer.[9]
On September 18, 1998, they appeared in the Love on the Air.[10]
He appeared in the past video with Lee Hye Min and Hwang Sun Young when Sang Soon mentioned the Baby Blue in the chapter 41 of the Hangout with Yoo (How Do You Play?) on May 9, 2020.[11][12] This video came out again on January 8, 2021, in the 42nd episode of 20th Century Hit Song.[13][14]
The group wasn't popular, so people are mistaken for his debut as Roller Coaster. For example.[1] About his debut, on May 9, 2020, it was later revealed in Hangout with Yoo.[15][16]
Roller Coaster[]
In March, 1999, he formed Roller Coaster with Jinu and Jo Won Sun.[1]
Verandah Project[]
In 2010, he and Kim Dong Ryul created a project group, the Verandah Project. Since it is a project group, it has only been active in 2010.[17]
Other[]
He participated in other albums and concerts by Hong Kyung Min and Lee Sun Hee as guitar sessions.[5]
The song "To You" was composed by him with the lyrics written by Yoona. It was inspired by Yoona's time as a homestay employee at Hyori's home on Jeju Island for the JTBC show Hyori's Homestay 2.[18]
Personal life[]
He was a lecturer at the Rock Artist Club (Music School) from 1992 to 1993.[5][1]
Relationship[]
On November 2011, it was revealed that Lee Sang Soon is in a relationship with singer Lee Hyori.[19]
He married Lee Hyori, on September 1, 2013 at their vacation home on Mt. Halla in Jeju Island.[20]
Lee Hyori's 2017 and 2018 shows "Hyori's Homestay" and "Hyori's Homestay 2" were beloved by many viewers. Currently, Lee Hyori is living a happily married life with him, with the couple going back and forth between residences in Gyeonggi province and Jeju island.[21]

- Kim Young Suk once contacted Twitter with Lee Sang Soon, and Hwang Sun Young who was after he retired from the show business.[22]
