Lee Dong Yeol (이동열), formerly known as Xiao (샤오), is a South Korean singer under PA Entertainment. He is a member of the boy group UP10TION.
He made his solo debut on May 8, 2024 with the mini album Howling.
He is best known for being a contestant on the reality survival show Boys Planet.
Career[]
2015: UP10TION[]
On September 6, 2015, Xiao's teaser photos for UP10TION's then upcoming debut was released.[1] On September 10, he then debuted as a member of UP10TION with their debut mini album Top Secret.
2023: Boys Planet, departure from TOP Media[]
He appeared as a contestant on Mnet's reality survival show Boys Planet. On March 23, he was eliminated in episode 8 after ranking 44th place.[2]
On March 31, it was announced that his contract with TOP Media had concluded.[3]
On July 20, a source from PA Entertainment announced that Xiao has signed with them and would continue to promote in diverse fields in both Korea and overseas under his real name.
2024: Solo debut with Howling[]
On April 26, it was announced that Lee Dong Yeol will make his solo debut on May 8 with his first mini album, Howling.[4]

Xiao graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School, Seoul on February 9, 2018 and was a student in the Practical Arts Department.[5]
