Last Scene (사라지고 있어) is the third mini album by Chen. It was released on November 14, 2022 with "Last Scene" serving as the album's title track.

The physical album comes in four versions: two Photobook versions (Violet and Gray) and two digipack versions (Violet and Gray).

Background

It was originally set to be released on October 31, 2022 but was postponed to an undetermined date out of respect for the victims in the Itaewon Halloween crowd crush incident on the 29th. It was later announced that the new release date would be November 14, 2022.

Composition

"I Don't Even Mind" is described as a pop genre song with an impressive rhythmic guitar performance. Chen participated in the lyrics. "Photograph" is a retro, medium-tempo style ballad while "Your Shelter" is piano-melody based ballad. "Traveler" is described as a medium-tempo R&B genre song with an acoustic sound, "Reminisce" is a ballad with a dynamic electric guitar performance and string melody.

Promotions

Chen held a countdown live through EXO's YouTube channel and TikTok account on November 14 at 5pm.

On November 16, the It's Live YouTube channel posted a video of Chen performing "Last Scene" and "Traveler".

Chen will be performing "Last Scene" on Music Bank, Show! Music Core, and Inkigayo.

Commercial performance

As of November 23, Last Scene reached #1 on the iTunes Top Album chart in 32 different countries.

According to Hanteo Chart, Last Scene sold a total of 72,994 copies in the first week of its release (November 14 to 20).

Last Scene sold 85,171 copies during the week of November 13 to November 19 on Circle chart. It debuted at #1 on the weekly chart. In the month of November, the album sold 85,439 copies.
