Lami (라미) is a South Korean actress under SM Entertainment. She was a member of the trainee team SMROOKIES.

Career[]

2010–2013: Early career[]

Lami's career began in early 2010 as an aspiring child talent; her first role was in 2010 when she was cast in a commercial for Doosang Donga TV. From 2011 to 2012, she had landed some minor child acting roles in several television dramas, such as Twinkle Twinkle, Drama Special Series Season 1: Perfect Spy, Me Too, Flower! and Five Fingers. In May 2011, she also had a brief music video appearance in Kim Yuna & Lena Park's collaboration single, "Winter Dream". By late 2012, she landed her first supporting cast role in the drama, How Long I've Kissed, in which she played Cho Yunmin.

2013–2020: SMROOKIES[]

On December 9, 2013, she was revealed as a new SM Entertainment trainee under SMROOKIES, alongside now-Red Velvet member Irene and now-NCT member Jaehyun.[1]

In 2014, she made another music video appearance in Red Velvet's digital single, "Happiness".

From July 23 to December 17, 2015, she appeared on Disney Channel Korea's The Mickey Mouse Club as a Mouseketeer alongside other SMROOKIES members.[2]

In 2016, Koeun, Hina and Lami danced to Girls' Generation's song "Gee" at SM Coex Artium.[citation needed]

She was last active with SMROOKIES in 2016. On February 12, 2020, it was rumored that Lami has left the agency after seven years.[3]

2022–present: Acting career[]

On December 9, 2022, SM Entertainment announced that Lami would be debuting as an actress under the agency.[4] On December 22, it was announced that she was cast in a supporting role in the drama Oh! Youngsim as an SM Entertainment actress. The drama began airing on May 15, 2023.[5]
