LUMINOUS (루미너스) is a four-member boy group under EVA Entertainment. They made their debut on September 9, 2021 with their first mini album Youth.
Youth was originally scheduled to be released on September 1, but had to be postponed after Youngbin tested positive for COVID-19 on August 23.[2]
History[]
2019: DS BOYS[]
Formerly trainees under DS Entertainment known as DS BOYS, they planned to release their first album on October 2019 after their private showcase in July. However due to internal problems, their debut was cancelled and they left the company on August 12, 2019.[3]
2021: Luminous Dreaming, debut with Youth[]
They released the pre-debut EP Luminous Dreaming on August 19.[4]
They made their debut with their first mini album Youth on September 9.[5]
2022: Between Light and Darkness (Self n Ego), "Wish You Were Here", Luminous in Wonderland[]
On January 5, the group released a scheduler for their second mini album Between Light and Darkness (Self n Ego), set to be released on January 20.[6]
On May 20, the group dropped a teaser for their digital single "Wish You Were Here", which was released on May 21.[7]
On June 20, LUMINOUS announced that their fandom name will be "LUMINI" which is a combination of the words "LUMINOUS" and "GEMINI". The meaning of the term being that LUMINOUS and their fans will light each other up like twins.[1]
On August 3, the group dropped a teaser for their first full-length album Luminous in Wonderland, which was released on August 17.[8]
2024: Departure from SE Group Entertainment, upcoming collaboration[]
On September 6, SE Group Entertainment announced that LUMINOUS would be transferred to a different agency.[9]
On September 9, YORO announced that he and LUMINOUS will be releasing a collaboration single on November 3.[10]
