Kyungjoo (경주), formerly known as Ella (엘라) and Mi Rae (미래), is a South Korean singer. She is a former member and leader of the girl groups Cherry Bullet and PIXY.
Career[]
2018–2019: Cherry Bullet[]
On November 22, 2018, under the stage name Mi Rae, she was revealed as the seventh member of Cherry Bullet.[1] They officially debuted on January 21, 2019 with their first single album "Let's Play Cherry Bullet".
On December 13, 2019, it was announced that she, along with Kokoro and Lin Lin, would be leaving the group after terminating their contracts with FNC Entertainment.[2]
2020–2022: PIXY[]
On July 3, 2020, she was revealed as a member of PIXY under her new stage name Ella.[3] The group officially debuted on February 24, 2021 with the digital single "With My Wings".
On March 11, 2022, both Ella and ALLART Entertainment announced that she would be taking a break from all activities due to reocurring stress and physical disability.[4] She would also not be participating in PIXY's comeback album Reborn due to her continued hiatus.[5]
On August 27, ALLART Entertainment announced that both she and Satbyeol would be leaving PIXY after already being on an extended hiatus due to their worsening health conditions and that their exclusive contracts have automatically been terminated.[6]
