Kyuhyun (규현) is a South Korean singer and musical actor under Antenna. He is the maknae of the boy group SUPER JUNIOR, its sub-units SUPER JUNIOR-K.R.Y. and SUPER JUNIOR-M, and a former member of the project ballad group S.M. THE BALLAD.

He made his solo debut on November 13, 2014 with his first mini album At Gwanghwamun.

Career[]

2006: Debut with SUPER JUNIOR and SUPER JUNIOR-K.R.Y.[]

Kyuhyun was added as a new member to SUPER JUNIOR in 2006. The digital single "U", released on June 7, was the first release of the group he was a part of.

He made his debut with SUPER JUNIOR-K.R.Y. when the sub-unit performed "The One I Love" on Music Bank on November 25, 2006.

2008: Debut with SUPER JUNIOR-M[]

On April 8, 2008, he made his debut SUPER JUNIOR-M and the mini album Me.

2010: First musical role[]

Kyuhyun was cast in his first musical in 2010 with "The Three Musketeers".[1]

2014–2017: Solo debut, solo releases[]

Kyuhyun made his solo debut on November 13, 2014 with the mini album At Gwanghwamun.

He released his second mini album, Fall, Once Again, on October 15, 2015.

The Japanese single "Celebration ~Kimini Kakeru Hashi~" was released on June 15, 2016.

On November 10, 2016, his third mini album, Waiting, Still, was released.

One Voice, his first Japanese studio album, was released on February 23, 2017.

The single album "Goodbye For Now" was released on May 24, 2017, a day before his military enlistment.

2019: "Time With You", "The Day We Meet Again"[]

Following the pre-release "Time With You", which was released on May 14, 2019, the single album "The Day We Meet Again" was released on May 20.

2020–2022: "Project: 季"[]

Kyuhyun started a seasonal music release project titled "Project: 季" in 2020.[2] The first release of it was on July 23, 2020 with "Dreaming". The second single of the project, "Daystar", was released on October 8, 2020.

Outside of the project, "The Late Kim Hyun-Sik's 30th Anniversary Memorial Album "Making Memories" Part 1" was released on November 7, 2020.

"Moving On", the third single of "Project: 季", was released on January 26, 2021. The fourth single, "Coffee", was released on April 13.

He is one of the four hosts of the new variety show Tiki Ta-Car, which premiered on April 4, 2021.[3]

"Together", the fifth single of "Project: 季", was released on July 5, 2021.[4]

On January 25, 2022, he released his fourth mini album, Love Story (4 Season Project 季), which is the final release of "Project: 季".[5]

2023: Departure from SM Entertainment, signing with Antenna[]

On July 14, SM Entertainment announced that Donghae, Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun have decided to not renew their contracts with the agency but they would continue promoting with the group, while the remaining members of the group renewed their contracts.[6] It was reported on the same day that Kyuhyun was currently in talks to sign with Antenna following his departure from SM Entertainment.[7]

On August 7, Antenna announced that Kyuhyun had officially signed with them to actively promote in diverse fields.[8]

2024: Restart[]

On December 14, 2023, Kyuhyun announced that he will release the EP, Restart on January 9, 2024.[9]

Military service[]

Kyuhyun enlisted for his military service as a public service worker on May 25, 2017.[10] He was officially discharged on May 7, 2019.[11]
