Kun (Korean: 쿤; Japanese: クン) is a Chinese singer under SM Entertainment. He is a member of the boy group NCT and its sub-units WayV and NCT U. He is also one-half of WayV's subunit duo WayV-KUN&XIAOJUN.

Career[]

2015: Pre-debut[]

He was cast into SM Entertainment in 2015 through SM Global Audition in Beijing. On December 18, 2015, he was introduced as a member of the pre-debut training group, SMROOKIES.

2016: "Without You"[]

In 2016, he was featured in the Chinese version of NCT U's single "Without You".

2018–2019: Debut with NCT and WayV[]

In January 2018, Kun, along with Lucas and Jungwoo, officially joined NCT.

On December 31, 2018, it was announced that he would be a member of NCT's Chinese sub-unit, WayV.[1]The unit debuted on January 17, 2019, with the digital EP The Vision.

2020: Debut with NCT U[]

On October 12, 2020, he made his official debut under the sub-unit NCT U as a part of NCT's 2020 project NCT Resonance Pt. 1 with the song "From Home".

Trivia[]

  • He graduated from Beijing Contemporary Music School in 2017 under the Department of Chinese Vocal Performance.[2]
  • He is considered the best cook in WayV and one of the best among all NCT members (along with Taeil, Doyoung and Taeyong).[3]
