Koeun (고은) is a South Korean influencer and former trainee. She is a former SM Entertainment trainee and former member of the pre-debut team SMROOKIES.

2011–2017: SMROOKIES[]

In 2011, she joined SM Entertainment as a trainee.[1] In October 2012, she appeared in the ABC News segment "K-Pop Boot Camp".[2]

In October 2014, she appeared and sang S.E.S.'s "I'm Your Girl" alongside other SMROOKIES members in a remake music video for EXO's variety show "EXO 90:2014".[3] She made a brief appearance in Red Velvet's "Happiness" music video. She also participated in the SM Town Live World Tour IV concert alongside other SM Rookies members. In June 2015, she and SMROOKIES appeared in ABC News segment "Korean Pop Idols Rule Asia".[4]

On July 8, 2015, Koeun was revealed as a official members of SMROOKIES, alongside Hina and Herin.[5]

From July 23 to December 17, 2015, she appeared on Disney Channel Korea's The Mickey Mouse Club as a Mouseketeer alongside other SMROOKIES members.

In 2016, Koeun, Hina & Lami danced to Girls' Generation's song "Gee" at SM Coex Artium.

In September 2016, she was part of the "Who's the best?" segment of My SMT along with fellow rookies Hina, Ningning, and Yiyang.

In April 2017, Koeun and Jungwoo appeared in SUPER JUNIOR Yesung’s "Paper Umbrella" music video.[6]

Later in 2017, she along with Hina, Ningning and Jungyeon sang several OST for the MBC animated series Shining Star. 

2020: Departure from SM Entertainment[]

On February 12, 2020, it was reported that Koeun left SM Entertainment after nearly ten years.[7] On February 24, 2020, it was brought to fans' attention that she has been removed from the agency's official website, therefore confirming her departure.[8] 

After her departure from SM, she opened her Instagram account and seems to be focusing on being an influencer.

She attended Bongilcheon Elementary School and Bongilcheon Middle School but dropped out in the latter school. After passing her middle school graduation qualification exam, she was a student in the Practical Music department at Hanlim Multi Art School but dropped out before graduating.[1]
