Kim Young So (김영소), or simply Youngso, is a South Korean musician, singer-songwriter and producer under BT Entertainment. He is the guitarist of the boy band Hoppípolla.
He made his solo debut with the studio album Utopia on June 16, 2022.
Career[]
Pre-debut[]
Kim Young So won various guitar competitions between 2015 and 2019.[1]
2019: SuperBand, debut with Hoppípolla[]
In 2019, Kim Young So joined JTBC's audition show SuperBand and won with his band Hoppípolla.
The band released their first digital single, "About Time", on November 16, 2019.
2021–2022: Signing with Arts & Artists, solo debut with Utopia[]
On October 8, 2021, it was announced that Kim Young So signed with Arts & Artists.[2]
On May 31, 2022, Arts & Artists posted a music video teaser for his solo debut studio album Utopia. It will be released on June 16.[3]
2023: Signing with BT Entertainment, "U"[]
On December 15, 2023, Kim Young So announced that he signed an exclusive contract with BT Entertainment.[4]
On December 22, he announced his first digital single "U", set to be released on December 24.[5]
2024: Now, More Precious Than Eternity[]
On April 8, 2024, pre-orders for his first EP Now, More Precious Than Eternity opened.[6] It will be released on April 14 and is his first release as a singer-songwriter.[7][8][9]
