Kim Jaehwan (김재환; or Jaehwan) is a South Korean singer under WAKEONE. He is a former member of the project boy group Wanna One.

He made his solo debut on May 20, 2019 with his first mini album Another.[3]

Career[]

2017-2019: Produce 101 Season 2, Wanna One, solo debut[]

In April 2017, Kim Jaehwan was introduced as a contestant on Mnet's reality survival show Produce 101 Season 2 as an independent trainee. In the finale, he ranked 4th, securing his spot with project group Wanna One.

The group made their debut with their first mini album 1X1=1 (To Be One) on August 7, 2017. They later concluded their activities following the end of their contracts on December 31, 2018 before officially disbanding after their farewell concert Therefore in January 2019.

He made his solo debut on May 20, 2019 with his first mini album Another.

2024: Contract renewal[]

On May 31, 2024, WAKEONE announced that Kim Jaehwan renewed his contract with the agency.[4]

Personal life[]

Health[]

On February 2, 2022, Swing Entertainment released a statement announcing that Kim Jaehwan would halt all activities after coming back positive for COVID-19.[5]

Military service[]

On May 31, 2024, WAKEONE announced that Kim Jaehwan would be enlisting on July 1 as part of the military band.[4] He will be discharged on December 31, 2025.
