Kim Gi Joong (김기중) is a South Korean singer under PocketDol Studio. He is a former member of the boy groups UNB and IM. He is also a former member of the pre-debut group MBK BOYS.
Career[]
2017-2018: The Unit, UNB[]
In 2017, Kijung, along with the members of the group, participated in KBS2's idol rebooting project show The Unit. He ranked #8 on the final episode and was able to debut with the project group UNB.
2019-2020: MBK BOYS[]
On May 10, 2019, he was introduced as a member of MBK's pre-debut boy group MBK BOYS.[1]
On January 8, 2020, it was announced that the official Twitter Account MBK BOYS was changed with POCKETDOLZ that would include in the line-up Lee Han Gyul and Nam Do Hyun, explaining the official disbandment of MBK BOYS.[2]
2021: Wild Idol[]
On August 9, 2021, he was introduced as the 6th contestant of the survival show Wild Idol.[3] Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the final episode thus making him unable to become a member of TAN.
2024-2025: Universe League[]
On October 15, 2024, he was officially introduced as a contestant of Universe League.[4] During the show's finale, which aired on January 24, 2025, he was eliminated.[5]

Kijung attended Dong-ah Institute of Media and Arts as a K-pop major.[6][7]
Military service[]
On December 11, 2022, Kijung announced that he would be enlisting in the military on the next day, on December 12.[8] He was discharged on June 11, 2024.
