Controversies[]
Kemy's diss track against Park Bom[]
On August 2, 2014, Kemy released a diss track titled "Do the Right Rap", which was speculated to target 2NE1's Park Bom, following her drug-related scandal. While Park Bom was not directly named, the track's timing led to public backlash.[1]
Two days later, Park Bom's stylist criticized Kemy for disrespecting senior artists.[2] The following day, a fake apology was posted by an impersonator, which A.KOR's agency quickly denied.[3] The agency clarified that the track was a personal expression for a rap competition and not the group's official stance.[4]
In January 2015, Kemy apologized to Park Bom in an interview with Star News Korea. She stated, “I never meant to make the song, it just kind of happened. It’s not a representation of how I truly feel about her. It was wrong and shortsighted of me to release the song. I would like to sincerely apologize to Park Bom”.[5]
