Kangta (강타) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, actor, composer, and host under SM Entertainment. He is a former member of the boy group H.O.T.. Following the group's disbandment in May 2001, he made his solo debut in August 16, 2001 with the album Polaris.

2025: Contract renewal[]
On April 2, 2025, SM Entertainment announced that Kangta had renewed his contract with the agency.[1]
On November 3, Kangta was revealed to have been appointed as the general producer for newly established SM Entertainment label, SMArt.[2]

On February 3, 2020, it was revealed by SM Entertainment and Ace Factory that Kangta is in a relationship with actress Jung Yu-mi.[3]
